Guiding Star

There was a star over Bethlehem
shining in the sky so bright
that three kings making a journey
traveled safely in it's brilliant light.

They searched throughout the town
for a new born baby boy
whose birth was announced by the heavens
as angels played their harps with joy.

It led them to a manger in a stable
where they found this special child
wrapped in swaddling clothes
surrounded by animals, meek and mild.

They offered him the gifts they had brought
and they thanked the star above
for guiding them to this precious one
who would fill the world with peace....and love.
