What does she see?
perched so lofty above.
Does she look down on us?
or turn a blind eye.
So many songs to her beauty...
Dedications of love made in her silvery glow...
She moves our souls like tides to the beach..
We reach for her..
Admire from afar...
Promise her on bended knee...
Miss her on dark nights...
So many wishes made...
So many sad stories shared with her....
Does she know?
Would she care?
A goddess to many..
A beacon to all..
Silent in her revery..
Majestic in her stance..
Reining over all...
Never to know...if we merit a glance...

I wish all could find the true happiness I have found,,in the eyes of Mike

Did you ever hear a song called, "The Moon's a Sad Mistress" recorded by Judy Collins?  This poem immediately made me recall the tune.  Beautiful.
