did all i could
you've gone
i don't understand

i've always been there for you
waiting up long nights
listened to every word you said
i never thought you might...

...eventually leave
coming of age in independance freed
i've come to grips
with what i should have done
i'll always love you
you are my son...

that's sad.. at first i thought it'd be about a boyfriend or sumthin... but this is definetly... (spose to be a sad face... usually doesnt show up like it tho...) i love it. thanx for sharin...

yeah...independence is what is being asserted. i am the son. i wrote from my mother's perspective.
