Every Christmas I would spend alone
I would by my own tree
And put up the ornaments on my own
I would hang up the lights
Around the door and windows
Of my studio apartment
And wish for the same thing
Every single year

I would wish that I would find
A young man who would take my hand
And love me until death do us part
And even after death keep me in his heart
But year after year
All that were drawn to me
Were the jerks and low lifes
Who only had one thing on their minds

But this year I hoped things would be different
I hoped that my wish would be granted
Even if it was granted by the good lord above
He would pick out someone perfect for me
If I just keep on praying and wishing
Maybe GOD will make it happen

Then all of a sudden I heard a thump outside
And then a crash of water flowing out
Of the community pool
I looked out of my window and saw something
Floating in the pool with wings
At first I thought it was a hurt bird
But I didn't have my eyeglasses on

So to get a perfect view
I went out to the pool
And to my surprise
it was a hurt angel
Floating in the community pool

So I jumped in and pulled him out
The poor angel was hurt
And drenched down to the bone
So I put a towel I found
By the pool around his shoulders
He looked at me weakly
And said
"Thank you for your help."

He had beautiful brown eyes
And he was tall and lean
As we walked in to my apartment
He leaned on me for support
And then he looked me in the eye
And he said to me,
"God sent me to you.
He felt your pain
And I do too."

Then all of a sudden
His angelic wings dropped off
And he said,
" I am human now.
Your gift from GOD.
I hope to make you happy
For life."

I looked him in the eyes
To see if he was telling the truth
And he said to me,
"We can take our time.
Get to know each other.
I totally understand
Since I am a stranger."

I smiled at the once angel
And I replied to him,
"Merry Christmas
And thank GOD for sending you."

Cold hands means a warm heart

I have no idea if God sent me to this world or if I came from... uh... the other place. LOL! But at least I know I'm here.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!
