Loves Embrace I wrapped myself in loves embrace A shawl of lace, the rose your face Climbed a stairway to the moon All in a summers afternoon Wondered in a field of green Knelt to you within the scene Whispered notes of tenderness Flowers of your loveliness Covered you with faille of trace Fitted them with gales of grace Offered you my heart in store Dipped in lover’s magic awe. Drew you near with phantoms tale Where ecstasy composed the trail Lit a lamp of never die To light each step upon its lie An Islands archipelago Sixty some odd years ago |
