When She Plays Piano

When she plays piano
It's the most beautiful sound to me
I listen to every note she plays
As she softly strokes the keys

Sweet chords linger in the air
I watch as she slowly closes her eyes
Within her music I hear it all
The pain, happiness, surrounded by the sighs

When she plays piano
I watch her face glow in light
She is at home where she belongs
I don't feel the cold of night

The music surrounds me completely
It lifts my spirits high above
For it's when she plays the piano
She's doing something she truly loves

If I had enough money
I'd buy her a piano for Christmas time
Since this is her passion, I'll start saving
Every single nickle and dime

When she plays piano
She is sweetly lifted by heaven's grace
As I watch the beauty fall softly across
Her sweet and loving face

"When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter"

Sometimes when you listen to music you can feel the rythm and the beat, but there is another thing if you can feel it though, the touch of the soul that plays the piano.

That feeling sings the rythm and beat right out to every single soul and heart.

I bet you closes your eyes alot when she plays, just to listen to that touch of her soul playing.

It was beatifull words you wrote of her, i enjoyed wery much.

Smile

aimster,
You described perfectly how I feel and am when I play the piano.  I'm not very good at it, but when I close my eyes, my fingers float to notes all by themselves, and many times, those notes help me interpret my mood and help me deal with things that otherwise I would not even know about.  I guess that is the "soul" of the music that Jes may have been referring.

I don't think there could be a greater gift than a piano or musical instrument.  Good luck on saving those nickels and dimes.  (When I bought old upright piano from an ad, I took a piano tuner with me to check it out.  You can pick up the upright pianos fairly inexpensively, but they are a devil to move!)
  I enjoyed your write!!!

I played piano when I was a child, for my mother...and when she died, I closed the lid and didn't touch the keys again...

until years later when I forgot how to read music and play like I ws reading, but could still make up some sad songs...

yeah, I miss those days.
