After I read the poem suthern wrote about her beloved cat,
I wrote this poem about my little dog Scooter.

Graphic By Vicky

~*~
My little Scooter, I love you so much
You have touched my heart with a special touch
Been here for me when I was alone and sad
Just a hug from me makes you so glad

Happy as can be when by my side you are
You are even beginning to like a ride in the car
As long as I am around, safe you feel
Wherever I go you are right at my heel

Trying to protect me, listening and watching are you
Thinking not of your size, you bark like you are two
Warning me when a strange noise you hear
When you watch over me, you show no fear

I never knew how much I would love you
If something happens to you, I know not what I would do
For you have become like a child to me
My little Scooter, you are my four-legged baby!
~*~

Thanks, Nancy. Yeah, that's him in the graphic. Vicky took a picture that I had taken of him and put it in the graphic. I think she said that Twisted had made the original graphic that I showed her. Aren't they good at making these beautiful graphics?
Hugs, my friend,
Ethel

Sweet garysgirl -- Scooter has a loving owner for sure!  We have three -- and they are definitely interesting people -- all three completely different from each other, but you have captured the element that all three have in common in your poem about Scooterl.  BEEEEEEEEEwell!

iliana, it certainly sounds as though you do understand about the attachment to pets. They give us unconditional love, don't they?
.
.
Noah, Scooter loves to be petted and I think that he would like someone to scratch his tummy all day long. If he had a purrer, I think he would purr like a cat!! LOL
.
.
Heart hugs to both of you,
Ethel

Thanks for pointing me this way... I would have hated to miss this beauty. *S* I wanted kids and cats... got cats that became my kids... don't know what I'd do without their love... or friends like you. *S*

Hi suthern.
I have one child but she's all the way in Massachusetts.
So, my little Scooter is right here and he really is
like a little toddler to me. Pets are so lovable.
Hugs, my friend
