The Wall

I built the walls of mortared bone
Cemented placing stone on stone
High enough to reach the sky
Where only I could perch and fly

Around the stone I built a moat
Spilt on it some oil to float
Just incase invasion came
I could set the thing aflame

And when I thought it at its best
I went about and made a test
Smashed the stone of mortared bone
A set a burn the oil I’d sown

And now what’s left, are blackened walls
Soot of oil and running gall
For I have over done the test
And suffer in the waste of zest

And I have lost my fancy’s dare
My castle built with wiles of flair

This didn't really happen did it?
I didn't think so...you're just telling us stories again.

A great write of which I gathered personal meaning.

You are making me think about some things this morning, Seymour.  And that, my friend, is a good thing!

You can put a dragon in your mote ...
block the drawbridge with a pirate's boat.
Fire the cannons ... ring the bells ...
sound the alarms in your castle's dwell.

Still this will not keep him from his rounds,
You will not keep this red knight down.
So tell Isabel to bake cookies and cakes,
and for goodness sake ... stay awake!!

Oh no--you cannot build a wall too tall ...
that Santa will not come to call.

LOL

Hi Seymour
I'm glad that this is only a story. I'd hate
for you to burn anything....

(smiles) Yep, you were just exaggerating, hehehe, anyway you've got flare! (big angel hugs) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all know a wall when we see one but yours is far more magical than it appears, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
