The mighty Sierras call out to me tonight,
lifting my spirits upward, in free flight
to shores of golden sand beside mighty cliffs,
into dreams of magic and extended metaphors
of what ifs.

What if we are destined to make music hand in hand,
day and night expand love rhythm’s private band?
Crescendos louder than mighty Pacific crashing waves emerge,
notes merging together as love’s slaves,
ethereal, spiritual gifts.

Off into the blue my heart shall freely fly
to meet you under yonder moonlit sky
halfway to Half Moon Bay.
I cannot endure another solitary day,
and the night is young.

Ohhhh, Midnitesun...

Thank you for this...but, now I am sooooo homesick!   :(   Well, at least I can dream with your beautiful words in my head.

Love and Light...jc

Thanks, Iliana
LOL, I am a bit of a gypsy spirit, that's for sure.
Half Moon Bay CA is an exquisite paradise, where creatures of the sea (and me, on at least one occasion) have found refuge from the extremes of life.

A truly great place to lose...and find one's self.

I don't think of it often, thank you for reminding me in such a talented way.

This is just beautiful Kacy, got some fond memories of Half Moon Bay also. Here's to dreamers and those willing to take the risk of letting their dreams come true.Do believe this ones stirred my hungarian blood, sure calls to the gypsy in me.Got to run, catch a bus in an hour and should be laying over in San Francisco a hour after that.Got my kodak disposable all loaded and will try to snap s few picks off I5 as the sun raises come morning.Absolutly stirring write, thanks for gracing us all with your gift.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...

I loved the way you chose words with the letter s; it put me in mind of soft swishing waves;

You put mine in your library just a moment ago (you might consider the newer revised version instead.)   Now, it's my turn, Midenitesun--this goes to my library!
Thanks for sharing it!

Midnight/Kacy
This poem is very delicate,The hardness of the landscape being softened in the first stanza..

"lifting my spirits upward, in free flight
to shores of golden sand beside mighty cliffs,
into dreams of magic and extended metaphors"

Also musical...
"notes merging together as love’s slaves,
ethereal, spiritual gifts."

And prompts desire in the reader to know what happened, but it ends well in mystery....lets the reader fill in the blank

"I cannot endure another solitary day,
and the night is young."

enjoyed
