In an upside-down garden

Everyone falls in line
and I am left dead last
waiting forever to discover
the truth in the power of words
what did you mean when
you said what you always said to me?

This is just what friends do
aiming to please
enticing simply for the heck of it
loving everyone and
hating no one
gets you nowhere.

Well I'm standing and clapping, this poem made me sit back and re-read it again, and again and again...

I love the way it provokes...

Allysa, I have to tell you that I read this a couple of times.  I liked it the first read, but even more on the second.  I have a tendency to look for good in everything and, thus, maybe I come across as too nice sometimes.  That does not really work in the real world, you are correct.
