~* Pasta And Plastic *~

Took a toothbrush, dusted it, but that didn’t work.
Oh brother, I feel like a total jerk!
While eating my pasta I dropped the bowl
Now my keyboard is stuck, and I need “Ctrl!”

I've tried every kind of keyboard,
those with cords and without.
Both expensive and cheap ones,
Eventually all get thrown out.

Poor keyboard is so pushed around
So both plastic and pasta are dishwasher bound!
I've made myself a New Year’s resolution
No eating at my desk, now there’s a solution!

I made the same resolution in 2002.
That makes 12 keyboards I’ve been through.
I buy them on special to keep just in case,
As they tend to wear my dinner all over their face.

I detour around some of the “F” keys
“Caps Lock”, “Esc”, and the “Home”,
So if it’s heading for keyboard heaven,
I felt at least I owed this one a poem!

Been there?

Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me.

Darn! LOL, another one bit the dust! I figured after at least a dozen dead keyboards, I should at least show this expensive one (that was never going to see food,) a little r.e.s.p.e.c.t.

I have two keyboards and wash one in the tub when it gets dirty...in dish soap...then rinse gently and dry upside down on a towel. When the other one gets dirty, I switch them.

This tip is courtesy of Ron Carnell!!

Mine was clam sauce and linguini.. It was a wonderful ergonomic keyboard.. that always and forevermore smelled like old fish - and never worked properly again (despite Ron's bathtub tips... )

Been there - Yup - Done that... No food at the computer?... Great way to go on a diet, eh?

Ooooh, I have toast crumbs lost in mine. Plus never, ever eat carmel corn while typing.   Love this Sharon! Chris

These comments really made me laugh, because I am sure that old keyboard saw most of the food mentioned, and certainly tons of popcorn that is for sure!  Glad you enjoyed it.

(giggles in delight) Hehehe, sometimes my keyboard gets stuck on keys like V and C and M and sometimes I accidently misspell words in comments because of that! (kiss on cheek) hat's quite a resolution, sweet friend, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

LOL, well I'm glad this came back to the top for a read. Yup, been there done that one (one too many times), lol. Thanks for the grins Sharon ...

One of my staff said the keyboard wasn't working at a spare cubicle the other day. Well I guess not ... someone likes coffee with a lot of sugar (and apparently some alphabet soup for good measure), though no one owned up to it, lol. I gave it a proper burial.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

LOL Sharon, I'm glad this came back up, too...
It reminded me to put my bowl of salad down....
for a minute, anyway. LOL

Well just as this poem came back - so did my dirty keyboard.  Remember Ron's tip, give it a bath in the tub or sink but make sure it drys well before using it again.  I think I will give it treat this time with some nice bubblebath. LOL, thanks everyone.
