Tangerine

First fruit...
my tangerine
offers me this sweetness;
each year virgin again, giving
first fruit.

...and tangerine
was the first fruit
in my Christmas stocking...

and the name
of the first lipstick
I was presented...

hey Ed, this reminded me of a country western song I saw on TV...he was singing a story about how his wife after all these years, the kids, the family...the hustle and bustle of everyday life...how he was still and even more in love with her on all levels...friends, sensual...companions, father/mother...an extremely visual song of admiration and respect for time and how it had seasoned them, in other words, she was still the forbidden fruit to him...even more so...

Now see what thoughts you've sparked?  smiles and hugs...thank you for sharing.

Ed - captivating and engaging - even we northeasterners love tangerines though they never are as good as they are in CA - great poem - Paul

Ahhh I recall the scent so well.

Ed...
You are indeed a master of few words.  Meanwhile, I ramble to the point that the point gets lost.

You got it, my friend.  I need to hang out with your words more often so that I can get it too!

Yep, that's a nice color lipstick,  it's a girl thing,
and better yet, it goes with my tan!!

This is so nice, reminds me of orange marmalade, that's not too sweet.

I am mightily tempted,
to switch from oranges...
