Yes!  I noticed that.  It is the main reason I posted this.  The coincidence made me laugh.

icebox....I have a picture of me when I was little in a baggy bathing suit...walking into this vast expanse of shallow ocean.  I can remember those little waves and feeling like for a minute I had tamed the sea.

definitley ebb tide, here!

love the power of that last line, but glad I know that the new tide will still come

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

This might just be the best haiku I've seen from you. Very clean and with a lot behind it.

Icebox
There is not all tragedy
in those lives left dying,
the sea birds gain life by their stranding..
Just as I have gained
a few calories of mental sustenance
from reading this short poem,
That you have left high and dry on this page.

Enjoyed this very much

This takes me right back to the shore, where I love to be.  Thought provoking observation here.   ~K~

Have to agree with Ice and Mr. Fraser on this one.  Both are right in my estimation.

Just like the ocean.  Comfortable and peaceful crashing here and there.
