I wish I could write these. Mine never work. I feel like I should be able to becauase of my heritage, but it sure isn't genetic. Sometimes I think it's spirit.

Oh yeah!  Great imagery.   I remember hunting nightcrawlers for my grandpa (I earned a penny a worm).   I don't remember the birds (maybe I scared them away), but the rest I remember well!
