Pain and Rain

My fetters do not shed the pain
Like the feathers of a duck, the rain
Nor do my feet have web of toe
To swim the waters that I know

My prowess is of small domain
Perhaps a little bit insane
But more or less I do my best
This candle light of life’s invest

We all relate to human fate
Though some of us would charge the gate
And some of us would sit and pray
And some would shrug the day away

And some of us would just invent
A cup of dreams, or sip repent
But I for one would peel the rind
And seek the bind of human blind

We are a part of chaos time
We need but see and feel the rhyme.

And yet here you are, spinning in time to the rhythm and rhyme of the universe.

It's good to read you again m'friend.

Now gimme dat hug!

and btw? I really liked this part alot:

"We all relate to human fate
Though some of us would charge the gate
And some of us would sit and pray
And some would shrug the day away

And some of us would just invent
A cup of dreams, or sip repent
But I for one would peel the rind
And seek the bind of human blind"

I'm so moody I can run that gamut in two minutes on a good day. (er...or izzat a bad day?)

snuggle hugs, sy!

you know, I think after reading this, what it all comes down to is what works best for each individual person..as we all have our destiny to reach...if we so chose...we are all on different levels...one no better then the other, simple, humble...yet marvelously unique...and that my dear poet, is what I've read in your words this morning.

Thank you....hugs and smiles

*perk*  Breast stroke?  Why don't I get those kind of offers?

Sey, I agree.  What a great verse you penned today -- all the way I see it, too.  Poets are sometimes confused with prophets. . . with this write, I might see why.

I enjoyed the contrast of fetters/feathers .

Incredible write through and through!   I could have copied the whole poem, but thought I'd save room for someone else!!!
