I only have this song to sing,
a song which can't be heard.
I would sing you everthing,
but my song, it has no words.

Back over all the years,
     I know it wasn't real.
but of all the strangers that I touched,
your touch I seemed to feel.

This mood will pass; the pain will end;
the tide will roll back down.
And you will drift back fathons deep.
     I will come around.

For now I have this song to sing,
but no one hears the words.
I don't pretend to know them
     I never really learned.

Empty tunes -- no solice,
I take refuge with this pen.
At least I surface something. . .
It's said that it did end.

It's sad remembering then.

M -- thanks for your comment.  When I wrote this one, I really was drowning in a sea of tears; I'm just fine now.  You never forget a great love, right?

I agree, I love the flow to this...and the sadness. You've helped me feel things I need to feel in order to move on, and there is much comfort in that.  ~K~

Kahlil -- how wonderful your comment made me feel.  I hope you can move on -- there is always more love if we are open to it, but this you know.
