This man I have adored, Whose poor broken heart I have ignored Has now broken mine, and created more scars Words were thrown at me, slicing like Chinese stars Things were said cold Things that will never leave the depths of my soul For cut they did do, Which is exactly what he intended them to My tears come unabated Unwanted! Uninvited! The hurt and anger Sting like a bee Not just for him But even for me For my hurtful actions Were not meant to be as callous and mean as they seemed to be Where as his cutting words were meant to hurt almost as if my pain he savored I can understand though He wants me to hurt as much as he does So let him be curt and throw my way all of his hurt I am strong enough To take whatever he has to give For I know it is not much longer that I have to live what has now become this life of lies December 14 will always be revered as the day my old life ties were completely severed We can now go about living free from all our former cries because in this house there will be no more lies |
