Winter's Lure

I felt the coldness in the air,
watched the limbs bow down when iced.
I followed sunlight's shadowed move
wondering why I am enticed.

Attracted to the winter's lure
promising the white of new.
As snowflakes fall, to cool my cheek
I walk the memories, in touch with you.

Secured in slumber, wintered thoughts
bridging moments from each day.
In the silence, you are here
always in my hold to stay,
always in my heart this way.

M, that was truly lovely. I really felt this poem on many levels.
