I sit here and chuckle Wondering, are they all right? I do tend to obsess I have all my life Somehow, it is all … Very different this time This is more than an obsession I feel as if I have come home After the longest journey of my life Come home to be among People like me People who wear their passions Out on their sleeves, Leaving raw for all to see, Just how close we all are To insanity! I feel as if I have finally found A place to call home, A place I belong Now back to the obsessions I have looked into the Files of my life My first penned emotion, Was on October 22, 2003 At last count, This obsessive mind has composed Over 50 poems or prose Obsessed? I think not Released? Most certainly so For I have been welcomed With open arms Told to continue, what was Shockingly to me, Conceived as great poetry I have been accepted For sharing my soul I have not been looked down upon For being passionate, As if…it were dirty I would like to take this moment To thank the poetry community For welcoming this lost, fallen angel, With no questions asked Where I belong, Back home in passions sweet arms! |
