My happiness is out of shape I need to strengthen it in small little steps, I cannot give into it Or I just may escape To that far away land Known as (boo, hiss, hiss) Bliss Now this is a word, I have read many times It seems pretty easy To find words that rhythm Or, as some may say, rhyme Bliss… it appears almost daily In poems, songs, and novels oh yea, we mustn’t forget it’s sometimes even mentioned in passion crimes Bliss is a word I would normally glance right over As if it were common Just another word for happiness Or so says the thesaurus But I have come to learn Bliss is not just a word It is an emotion, a fabulous feeling Bliss is now a meaning to me It is what I feel, As close as to what Hearing angels sing Would be It is your heart pumping faster Your breath coming shallow Your mind sees nothing But what brought you This gift Rose colored glasses Pale in comparison to Bliss It is a total lack of guilt this enchantment is well earned Bliss is what I paid for With all those broken dreams My currency was countless shed tears more disappointments and all my bled fears but for this awesome time I have Bliss in my life I would gladly pay anything Even more Strife, (Oh no, don’t even get me started on that one!) Bliss is to me... As close to Heaven as this Fallen Angel ever will be |

*perk* Did someone say, "Fallen Angel"? I like those the best! BTW - This is a very nice poem, with some really neat similes and some deep thoughts. |
