Senryu And Picture By Ethel_GG

~*~
(Be sure to sing this while you're reading it. Now, the tune is obvious? LOL)

Toe-rag the red-toed reindeer
had a very shiny toe
And all of the other reindeer
used to laugh to see it glow

But there were still two reindeer
who didn't laugh and call him names
They were Balladeer and Long John
who all liked to play their games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
in A-la-bam, down south
They couldn't see through all the fog
then they heard little Toe-rags mouth

Balladeer and Long John went there
helping him to get through
They could see Toe-rags toe
Santa saw it glowing, too

Then for the rest of time
on every Christmas Eve
If you will look real close
you will surely see

For Santa fixed the problem
they could then see far and near
Up at the front of Santas sleigh
are Toe-rag, LongJohn, and Balladeer

(Okay, maybe it doesn't go  exactly  with the tune!! LOL)

LoL, a very light poem, nicely written. I think we all have a bit of "toe rag" in us.

Snicker, snicker, giggle, laugh. Love this garysgirl. Now I am going to have to find the version of Twas the Night Before Christmas I wrote years ago and post it if I can find it for you. I think you would get a kick out of it. Wonderful poem dear friend.

LOL... That does it... None of us should count on Santa arriving with those 3 tussling for the lead. *G* But that's okay... their poetic tussles ARE gifts! *G*
