Out Making Anticlines

I come to thee
on this night of all
when nothing that is, is;
while hollow dreams howl
impotent rage across the abyss

I come to thee
for I am thy shield
I am thy fortress impenetrable
thy chalice and the wine thou drinkest:
I will sustain.

I come to thee
in azure flame, black water of the depths;
enfold thyself, meld into me
for thou art mine and I am thine;
as on this night of all
I come to thee

I'd written a response only to encounter server errors... those words are gone forever and whatever I write now is bound to feel inferior. *S*

But I love this, Jamie! The use of a more archaic language is a wonderful reminder that love has existed through the ages... and that strength of commitment and desire to protect are timeless... fresh, new and undiminished through the years until any given night it's offered.

I can't imagine anyone receiving such a promise and not being touched to their very core... This is just beautiful!

You and your writing are a blessing indeed,
oh let me count the ways.

Filled with spirited imaging. Full of life!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
