Patricia introduced me to PiP, for which I express my heart-felt gratitude.  The Macy in this little poem is her daughter, who very much likes to color.

Macy’s Crayons

shaded crayons on different paper
lined and white and yellow
new creations all spectacular
waves of color overflow

their bands of etchings new
while excited fingers e’er so small
from her imagination flew
drew and colored them all

open door and open heart
always welcome the ready bowl
of well-worn crayons start
a new expression of her soul.

A colourful write! I'm sure both Patricia and her precious Macy appreciate you having written this delightful poem! I derive a great deal of pleasure out of watching a child be creative!

Enjoyed this expression of your own creativity!

Oh my!  Oh my!  I love this.  You know that is all Macy talks about...coloring and drawing.  She just left with her father, but when she returns, I will read her this treasure.  And, of course, I will keep this poem forever.

Thanks for making my evening.  I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself, and something told me to go to Passions...I am glad I listened.

Now if you will excuse me, I am going back for another read.

So smiling at you!

Patricia

steavenr...

Only a compassionate soul could have written about such wisdom as this.  Thank you.

I like this poem. You captured the innocent and free flowing inspiration children have. And the abundance of their imagination. very nice!
