Living Inside A SnowGlobe

I love the magic of this day
Cold to colder still
Living in a round snowglobe
Giving me a thrill

Crystal flakes falling down
All around this house
Makes me feel so very small
Like a Christmas mouse

If I use imagination
Then giggle in my soul
Why you can shake me up
And stir this snowy cold

'Round me silver slivers fly
These sparkling crystal flakes
Chill winds will lift to sigh
Just by your very shake

Jiggle my snowglobe merrily
Give me a little thrill
Better yet sing me verily,
And warm away the chill

But now, this winter,
Please, come, look close
As our littlest Angel
Sings to her heavenly Host

Her wings are spread
Though crystal flakes fly
As warm is her love for
The Prince of Peace is nigh.

Then draw to your window
You'll see that it's true
In God's great snowfall
You'll find visions of you.

Thanks for the smile this poem gave me. I needed to smile. I have had a couple of rough days.  We are expecting our first accumulating snow today, and I will be thinking of your poem when the white stuff goes into attack mode.

Missed ya, lady.  Love the new pic.  How elegant your are.

Hugs,
Patricia

lovely Karilea...and yes we are due for our third round of snowfall in a week, but I welcome it.

Nice new picture, too

Now that gave me a real smile, Sunshine. I can just feel you sitting in your cosy little house with the snow drifting silently down outside. I think you are a close relative to Peter Pan.

GOD Karilea...it just hit me...

you remind me of how my mother was back twenty-five years ago...she died in 1980.

but I see her in you...your smile, your reddish hair, your wisdom, your kindness and giving, and your enthusiasm for living life...

thanks for putting me in the snowglobe today
