This is a memory of sky, scattered,
the sound the sun made in the air,

"slow down     slow down,
for now
walk along this dream
where sand holds your foot
not quite long enough to drown."

Yes, when I was there
I could see that road in the water.

Perhaps,

if it was made of fine threads
laying across to another paradise,
I could walk with wings folded
and place my weary there.

Through time a spirit gives and takes,
the movement dashes castles made of sand,
a foundation made of ash
blow it out   blow it out
and hold the rock inside with open hand.

(smiles) Yay! I have this feeling to when I am walking alone on the beachside, dearest friend, I never like to rush and I just want to cherish each still-frame of the splendor at a time and see the light casting over the water from the sky and the gentle relapses of the waves cradling the sands! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a wonderful poem of serenity, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shie upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Marie,

God...this is so georgeous...the imagery
in this is truly breath-taking...nothing
quite like the ocean and sand!

I'll never have wings... but a resting place for weary would be heaven for this non-angel. *S*

Martie, I just loved the feeling of these words.  Mystically laid out!

Suthern gal...I wasn't claiming to be an angel with wings...I'm certainly not..just using that metaphor of wings to contrast the fact that the water looked like something you could actually walk across...and not have to fly.

It is a pathway...
one that perhaps artists
and poets only know...

Betcha could...

Martie
Your poems are Zen like, when I read them I feel a certain oneness with the energy entity, and I like that place...where all is one and one is all. This poem made me feel that way....Thank you

I have seen that road, have stood at the very place in this picture and seen it. But I did not catch the fullness of it until I read this poem. If I ever go there again, I hope there's someone with me who has your kind of vision -- I know I wouldn't find it without a guide.
