Snow fell all around as I stood sentry there
A mere shadow amidst the lighthearted stare
And each individual flake so unique
In its slalom and dance, aflutter and meek

Each movement delighted in the winds of the night
Snow fell and rejoiced in the palest moonlight

To be warm from the dazzle of a soft settled coat
In the hum fascinated entered peace to denote
And settled cross legged onto dreams carpet plush
Into speechlessness, silent streams flow rosy rush

Each chord noted perfect spilling soothe as I drank
A concoction of fantasy into depths of me sank

Snow fell in the clean of disguised refuse thoughts
In a powder of gentle white shroud, shiver droughts
Melting off in the glow or recalled sudden flame
By the fire sings temperance that all ages acclaim

Every crackle and pop a delicious recant
As the glow seems immortal in its velvet enchant

By the sizzle comes melt of the dustings about
And the visions in flurry smile softly throughout
Of the nature of winter, in its sleep and caress
Through the window the songs of the embers recess

Every possible shimmer in the shape and the form
In the sounds of forever as the embers stay warm

This was simply a pleasureable read.  There were too many lines and phrases that stood out to comment on.  Great write!
