(For all the children of the world, and for all the children that live on in all of our hearts, wishing peace on Earth and to be reminded Jesus lives in each of us, always lending His loving hand to the hungry, weak and poor! God Bless You All and Happy Holidays!)

A Savior is Born
By: Noah Eaton
12/21/02

So the story begins in the land of Judah
Where lived a man named Isaiah
A vision was bestowed upon his mind
Claiming the Lord shall offer us a sign

"Behold, a virgin shall conceive,
and bear a son" for you and me
The government will be lifted on his shoulders
He will be our King, our counselor

And He'll direct us with the keenest of judgment
Where the morning star hangs like a pendant
And some day in the town of Nazareth
Hope will be born, you will all be blessed

And the angels they glow
Inside of you
The fire, it burns
Children, you know the truth
The cherubs they weep
Love shall endure evermore
Children, show me a smile
For our Savior is born...

Gabriel visited Mary one faithful day with a truth
Said "Mary, God has been gracious for you!"
You will give birth and name this son Jesus
The Son of the Most High God, so prepare for this engagement

She questioned why she was a virgin
His power would rest in her, he mentioned
Such a gift would be inevitable
Such an uncertainty is improbable

And Gabriel met Joseph, a commoner
Wanting to break the marriage, but reconsidered
Marry this woman, and all will be well
For God will be with us, all resting in our Emmanuel

And the angels they glow
Inside of you
The fire, it burns
Children, you know the truth
The cherubs they weep
Love shall endure evermore
Children, show me a smile
For our Savior is born...

Mary and Joseph registered for the census in Bethlelem
Where she'd give birth to this child, as Gabriel had said
There was no room at the hotel to give birth
So this precious child was born in a nearby manger

And out in the open field shepherds gathered round
Where an angel appeared with a glory profound
The angel spoke of the baby in swaddling clothes
Offered them praises to recite to this miracle to behold

And three wise men known as the Magi came from the east
Reporting to Jerusalem they saw his star in the east
King Herod and his people immediately exclaimed
May we find out where we can find this Messiah

And the angels they glow
Inside of you
The fire, it burns
Children, you know the truth
The cherubs they weep
Love shall endure evermore
Children, show me a smile
For our Savior is born...

Herod assembled his priests and learned of his birth
In Bethlelem, where begins such a mirth
Where a new Governor will build an impregnable kingdom
That will last forever and lift us all out of the doldrums

The Magi studied that star and saw it once more slide
To the place where such a love resides
The three men knelt down and worshipped this boy
Offering him gold and frankincense for this bundle of joy

God warned them to stay away from Herod
Where Jesus would be safe from what was cruel
Celebrate, children of the world, celebrate............
.....................For God Sakes, celebrate today!

And the angels they glow
Inside of you
The fire, it burns
Children, you know the truth
The cherubs they weep
Love shall endure evermore
Children, show me a smile
For our Savior is born...

Gaze upon the angel on your tree
And sing a praise with me
He is gracious to you and Thee...

But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20

Thank you for this reminder Noah.
All too often we get caught up in the commercialism of Christmas.
God Bless You my Sidekick~
Hugs~

Noah ... a wonderful story retold by a wonderful poet.

There is so much commercialism to Christmas that it's easy to forget why we celebrate. Thank you sweetie, for writing this.

Lovin' ya ... hugs, Marti

Thank you Noah, I remember stories like this in grade school. We had ministers taking turns to visit our little school every Wednesday afternoon. Those were nicer, gentler times.

You helped to make my Christmas Noah, you and some others here. May God bless you all.

Tony.
