Emotions will escape me this day,
As the words flow from my pen.
Harbored feelings to be written away,
As through poetry, my soul I mend.

Mending through verse, these conflicts inside,
I'll write what cannot be said.
Words revealing what I've tried to hide,
As I break down these walls in my head.

My poems I use to exorcise the ghosts,
To lash out when no one can hear.
The paper and pen are my only hosts,
And from them I will have no fear.

Written words are my way to heal,
Becoming stronger with each one I write.
Poetry expressing the emotions I feel,
Gently guiding me out of my plight.
