I started this in fun and it has grown a little longer each time I think of something.

Lady In Green Velvet (Part 3)

A year has past since she wrote the note
to the man she once loved.
Words saying, I’m sorry..............Please forgive”.
In the past year she has wondered should I have bared my soul to this cold-hearted man?
Illness has made times hard, and now he is going to foreclose on my beautiful
little cottage in the woods.
Yesterday he came, the look within his eyes as cold as a winter day.
His harsh words bringing my world crumbling in tumbling pain.
One hundred dollars, dear lady.
One hundred dollars in two weeks
or
I will foreclose and smash this cottage to the ground.
No tears, dear lady.
You cannot reach my heart for as you said so long ago.
I’m a Scrooge, a tyrant, and a wicked old man.
Yes dear lady I’m very strict and rule with an iron sword.
I would have given you the world, but you turned away with the flip your  auburn hair.
It is too late; I will break you, dear lady.
I have found another.
One that is young and fair and filled with innocence.
I will show you, dear lady, that I am not old.
As night approaches we find a frightened lady
sitting by a warm fire with quill in hand.
Her hand shaking from illness, begins................To whom it may
concern.
