I have a sponsor child named Simon
And he comes from Tanzania
I often stop and think about him
Especially at this time of year

How will Christmas be for him
Will he experience any joy
I wish much love and happiness
For this adorable little boy

I had always wanted to help
Those people in desperate need
Where there was suffering and poverty
With so many mouths to feed

I may not be rich in money
But feel there's much I can give
To help all those less fortunate
Making their lives easier to live

We are all capable of giving
And the best place to start
Is by giving a gift
That comes straight from the heart

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

How wonderful of you to sponsor a child Sue!
There are so many who are in need of love and care in the world.
You are such a giving person.

Good for you my dear!!! So many people wail about how they can't help everyone! Well, one person helping one person is a great way to start. If we all helped just ONE person, everyone in the world would soon be helped....

Thank you all for your lovely replies.  I have a picture of Simon proudly displayed on my fridge so I see him every day.  I find it so very rewarding to know that I am making a difference to his life, even if only in a small way.

Take care........Sue

(big angel hugs) God Bless You, dearest friend, this made me cry as so many of your gorgeous poems do because all my life you have one of the biggest golden hearts I have been blessed to know and I know because of you, Simon feels blessed and is smiling and it is love like yours that will give him a merry Christmas! (kiss on cheek) I myself always help out in the community each holiday season, I go down to my Catholic Community Center and the Rescue Mission and always make the elderly never feel lonely and the less fortunate be fed and warm! I wish youn the most happiest holidays down under, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Dear Sue:  Good for you and I know you are making a big difference in Simon's life. We buy groceries every month until we have a large box and donate it to the food bank here. This is not a very big area but we seem to have a lot of needy people. We can do this several times a year and know that it helps out.  Good feeling!

Merry Christmas!

Thank you Betty Lou.  That doesn't surprise me that you do such a thing, I've always known you have the kindest heart.
