Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2003-12-11 05:56 AM

This morning I prayed,
it had been awhile,

Tears rolling down my cheeks,
I ask Jesus to forgive me,

My heart was heavy and full,
I ask God to direct me, guide me,

For I am not perfect,
I have let him down in so many ways,

Please forgive me God,
Hear my plea,

Take away this anger, bitterness,pain,
restore me once again,

I am sorry for not praying as much as I should,
for not reading my bible as much as i could,

I am humble I am weak,
give me your love, your forgiveness,

Fill my heart, guide me, direct me,
show me the way,

In my silence and weeping,
I heard a small voice say:

Psalm 32......

After reading, my eyes were dried,
my joy restored, fear no more,

Peace and comfort filled my soul,
Once more, God and I are one.

(God is real, he hears, he cares, he loves, he forgives....)

God is Love!

Very moving piece. And so very true, I have only just begun to allow God to enter my heart. Yes, God is Love

This is so sweet ARH. And, it's very true!!
God is always ready and willing to listen to us

It is so often the case that we seek forgiveness, not realizing that the work of God is forgiveness, and that it is we who are not able (or willing) to forgive ourselves.

When I am most disappointed with myself for my failures, is when I recognize that I am at my most guilty state; for it is then and only then that I am in danger of being unforgiven...for I am too proud of being what God made me--human.

Thank you for your poem.  It was timely.
