somebody's dungeon

0 posted 2003-12-10 11:27 PM

I live in a place
but displaced.
Shelter, but never
my home.

Walls to protect,
lights to reflect.

Windows of wonder,
see thru and ponder,
abode to the nomad
     that's me.

Homeless, enclosed.
How do you suppose,
you nest in the heart
    of another.

The decor isn't mine
the colors, though fine
never slipped through
     my fingers
the old antique singer
sewed nothing from mind
   in this house.

In one day,
     then out.
On the good,
     then the bad.
You're happy
     you're sad,
my life, my existence
     depends...
on the swing of your mood
     just then.

I need the surround
     of what's mine.
Home, sanctuary
     then time,
to sit in the quiet
      of mine.

Boy do I know this Anne.  It is good to see you posting again.  Sometimes it is hard to not let others moods sway our own.
Very well done.

The quiet of mine~
love that thought.
However elusive it is!!!
Beautiful poem, WhiteRose.

Thank you Donna. It's good to be posting again. I've missed my muse. She doesn't like the current atmosphere so it took some coaxing to get her to come out of hiding for a time.
