or mere illusion?

For how long
can we sustain
this surging season?

If i pledge
my faith to you,
will you melt
sweetly
as your kiss,

should your
enchantment
of me stop cold,

and may the petals
that dress the season,

drizzle down
the stoic ground,

and be the cradle
for my fall
