Adrift

Winters have grown colder now
the branches are more bare
the winds in gusty bitter voice
have nothing new to share

It’s true, I know, the cycling
but I had not expected this
since she left without departing
we can only stand adrift

My goodness this is sad... you convey the feeling very vividly with the imagery you use. Great write, and I hope things warm for you soon.
