So many wonderful friendships have been made here due to Ron's Carnell's generosity in building, funding and maintaining this website for us at his own expense.  He encourages the connections of people worldwide through a common interest of, poetry, prose, and discussion.

Some friends we have lost this year, but are still able to remember them through their poetry in the archives Ron keeps.  Others, we talk with each day, or read their poetry to maintain that connection to a friend far away.

For these friendships, I wish to thank RON and wish him and all of you a very, Merry Christmas season.


~* Forever Friends *~

I believe we are given friends
To accept the real of whom we are.
These friends can lift our spirits
Even higher than the heaven's stars.

It doesn't matter where we live,
Whether poor or loaded with dough,
We've learned to love each other
Connecting by our heart and our soul.

I believe we are given friends
To give us worth in how we live,
By being there for each other,
Taking much less than we give.

An internet friend can be an angels,
Who will fill your heart with hope.
They offer love and laughter,
Suggesting ways in which to cope.

Each one so very individual,
So very different from the rest.
I love each one for special qualities,
And not one more than the rest.

I thank God, for my poetic friends,
For they mean the world to me.
We all know we are forever friends,
’Cause that's the way it's supposed to be.

Merry Christmas to Ron!

I have been a member at Passions for a long time...I have seen poets come and go..come back again....but all of them have touched our lives in some sort of way..

They say if you place your heart out there, do what you love to do, be who you truely are and fate will draw that one person to you....I believe this...Passions was the open door for that to happen..if it wasn't for PIP I would have never met Goldenrose...

PIP and Gold...Two great presents of Christmas every day!

Oh, Sharon, you have me weeping with each picture and each line of this wonderful tribute. You have brought back memories and brought to light again how important the friendships we've made on passions are to each one of us. Although my days are filled with other activities now, my passion friends are the ones most dear to me, for we have a common bond of open hearts, of freedom of expression and of deeply rooted understanding of each other through poetry. It is the kind of intimacy unequaled in any other friendship.
And you have hit the nail right on the head.
It is Ron who has enriched our lives by this forum of the minds, and I too am greatful, Ron for all of your efforts, and Sharon, for having the beauty of heart to write this tribute

(big angel friendship hugs) God Bless You, dearest friend, this made me cry in joy as I am blessed to have you and all my wonderful family of friends here and hope someday I can meet you and my friends in person and can never thank Ron enough for all he has given us and that I hope he always knows how much we love him with all our hearts! Sharon, this is so beautiful and shows what a loving and tender heart you do have. Thank you so much for sharing your pictures.

I have also met so many really nice friends since I've been at Passions. I love this place.
