Listening to every heart

Konrad Calls….

Paint me a poet, and one could show you
imaginary characters, one, or two
who live and breathe,

oh yes, they do…

and even if fictional, these
masterful minds,
they believe,
oh they believe,
in you and your kind.

Poet you be.

They shall take you
on trips to a far away,
show you a moment, or two, of
life as it is, what it’s about,
then whisper enticements,
no need to shout.

Some just say, “it’s the southern way”
but oh, I think it’s something more,

as I watched in awe and listened to winds
that whispered in sly
you’ll come, again
before I had even reached a shore,
for I knew I’d return
to see this summons,
this masterful summons,
this calling summons,
written on doors.

You’ll come again, you’ll see me here
in southern climes
I am          that near.

Konrad has only been
in my wandering fantasies,
a voice on the wind,
a real still unseen,
and yet here he painted these skies
in gold, whispering,

Here now, behold!  Do not conjecture,
or think,
just see what you feel,
flicker your shutter,
shudder your need,
feel the wind murmur, in sounds
soft and low
see the gold heighten,
now take things real slow…

for I shall show you
signs in the skies
where beasts still remain
just over there, for your eyes,
but not all shall see them,
as “all skies are the same”,
but I shall show you,
if you whisper my name.

“Konrad,” the sound came silent to lips,
a character, imagined, yet the name slipped
close to the surface of water, and stayed,
as before my eyes, a sight,
displayed…

and I looked into the eye of the creature,
seeing all symbols so clear

for all that I do, and hold, and think of,
was near
and I knew this adventure
was all it should be, even if tomorrow
was still held
in shrouds of mystery.

…to be continued….

The glorious golden skies lend their beauty to this eldorado story... "to be continued" are three welcomed words!

talk about high inspire...
your muse is singing these words...
me thinks she cant be contained to a pen.
I have to know....
where did you write this???

I can remember Forever December,
The center of dying ... the heart of the pain.
The stars surround me ... the cold astounds me.

Hello, Sunshine!
It's great to see you again!  Everything read so easily, but this, especially sang to me!

Here now, behold!  Do not conjecture,

just see what you feel,
flicker your shutter,
shudder your need,

Your time away did not dull your writing edge, but honed it to a form I've not seen.  Beautiful photography!! You inject such a sense of feeling into your writing.  KJ

Ya know, I was expecting that seeing, being in these places would bring this character and storyline into focus for you Kari and I think it did just that.
I've read this several times over the past couple of days.  It settles in real well.
Gotta love that in a story...
