The air is crisp and sharp to
the breath.

I brace myself to the thousand cuts of
another day.

Mornings always hold such promise to the
quiet hours of our separation.

And yet even as I stand alone...you are not
absent.

You are the grace that cuts the
deepest.

I draw you through on the curve of
my breath.

And like a blade you slice with
your departure.

I bleed...like this...for
hours.

Until the day is spent in the
blood of goodbye.

And night falls with sudden
ease.

Eric, I know thisd feeling every time that my Love
and I have to be apart again. You wrote it very well.
Are you apart from your Love? Just wondering,
since you write of it so well.
Hugs to you

Hi Ethel,

I am never apart from my love. And yet sometimes it can feel this way...even when you stand mere inches away.

It is this way with Spirit.
We stand in midst of it...and yet cry out in lonliness.

As Rumi says - "The grief you cry out from
draws you towards union."

The pain that cuts is merely a prayer to heal anything that feels like separation.

We can never stand apart from our love...we are that which we hold closest.
We are that...and we are more.

Thanks for asking Ethel!

Love,
Eric
