Jack Daniels grabbed her by the throat
and choked away her soul,
then passed her on to brother John,
who coked her skin to bone.
Now God got lost in some back alley,
(he) done missed the crosstown bus,
as Jack and John climbed up the hill,
to poison Sally’s well,
then shove her down to well’s stoned bottom,
just the other side of hell.
A ten dollar rock ain’t no rock of rages,
ain’t no anger with no hope,
and this here ain’t no nursery rhyme,
‘cause life ain’t got morals.
The headstone read “our loving daughter”,
even coke whores have a dad,
and a mother who cries every night,
for a daughter they once had.
The congregation held their hymnals high,
and all sang Rock of Ages.

Tim,
This one got me.   Sad, but thought provoking.   The depth of this was presented
with creativity.
