As I write my heart to you I know you understand What I attempt to say Though not written with best of hand I know not all forms of poetry or all the fine technique Although my finished poems are sometimes quite unique My rhyme may not be perfect Nor written with fancy word but my Love you know is as true as ever heard So would you look over, please if I stumble over word or two For they all come from my heart and are written especially for you ~*~ |

I want to write about someone that means alot to me, but the words don't come with perfection. Perfection is what she deserves. I like the way you wrote this. very nice. |

We always think we're falling short, when what we're writing has someone we love in it. That's the nature of people, and poets are just people with strong emotions and the desire to write about them. I have a feeling you'd get the message across even if you were as poor at it as you feel when you do the writing. |

chinesestone, thank you very much for reading and replying to my poem.  . . Ryan, I know. I never can get the enormous love I feel for him in my heart, onto the paper. It always seems to be inadequate. But, I love trying, and he loves for me to try. . . James, I think you're right about poets. We do have that strong desire to tell what we feel. Also, yes, he does tell me that he loves for me to write poems for him and that he knows how much I love him because he loves me just as much. . . Thank you, Dixie!! And, you are, too!! . . Ethel...Just look back when you first came here and see how far you've come. You've shared so many love poems with us and I know your heart has many more to write. We write out of our love for poetry and the people in our lives that we share so much with. That's what it's all about. Being a man I use to be sort of shy and embarrased to tell someone that I wrote poetry when I first started but not anymore. I write with simple words because that's what I understand, simple & true.
