I must have shoes to comfort the soles of my feet
to dance nights away on my toes through the street
to grow in proportion to my height above ground
to look at and polish so my mouth won't frown..

must be careful to pick a comfortable pair
must be sensitive to constant wear and tear;
that which contains the soles of my feet
might allow me sure flight to skirt defeat...

they'd be laced up, chosen for built-in support
produced by craftsmen known for global export,
and one day I'd purchase another fine pair
same as its predecessor which gave me fine wear!

It's the last time they'll be produced, end of a line
a pity how a manufacturer can do that to shoes so fine.

Martin, I loved the rhyme in this poem.
I also liked the way you told about the shoes.
It's odd how the companies will make a really
comfortable shoe that sells so well and then quit.
I wonder why that is?

a good clue might be marketing follows new trends but I'm not a follower... if I can't get a shoe that does its purpose and it's not just look that counts...I'll go elsewhere
but hey let the manufacturer make their own mistakes, and I'll make mine

Isn't that a shame..so what should do we do when somebody has 300 pairs..just advertise it?
