Peccadillo

A peccadillo has its spine
Similar to a porcupine
Within the private of its court
All is hidden in the thought.

A judgment error that we make
In the moonlight mirrors wake
Told that I was born for love
I covert me a velvet glove

But she was not prepared pursuit
My arrow was an overshoot
And I was melted stripped of joy
The words that I had gushed so coy

I though she was a butterfly
But all I net were wings of sigh
And sorrow laid a wall of din
That put my world into a spin

But now the spine has worked its way
And I can see the light of day.

Good afternoon, Mr. T.!

We all make errors in judgment and some of them come back to haunt us! But never fear, there is a lesson hopefully to be learned from each and every one of our mistakes!

~ May all the porcupines in your life be spineless!

Afternooner hugs,
EA

No one could write this but you dear Sy.

But all I net were wings of sigh...Oh to be able to pick lines such as this out of the air. You are a master, and turn a phrase like no other. That line will play in my head for the rest of the day now.

Looks to me that you got your fair share of butterflies flutting around your net these days m'friend LOL.  You remind me of the Pied Piper of Hamlin (well the guy who charmed the rats to the water with his flute or was it a picadillo , anyway you got a flock here, and I am one of them!)  This certainly did cause me to a sigh, Sye.
