AND  …

And then they said, “Wear shoes, my friend,
and feel no more the earth of pebbled stones
and rough terrain meant to draw forth tears
and cleanse the inner lining of the body beautiful”.

And we saw that it was good to walk so nonchalant
and dance upon the floor sprung casual, unconcerned,
for who would know the truth of how a soul can hurt
when locked behind facades of this reality.

And then one day our feet, once strong and meant for more,
bent and buckled, twisted, turned, and forged another path
to the side and angled from the brief sketch of destiny
meant to be enhanced by the way we walk on earth.

And no one seems to see how off-centre we all lean
secure in the comfort of man-made norms and forms
designed to halt the drawing forth of timeless energy
and the planting deep within of love and harmony.

And when we feel the pain of enforced separateness
we still will wear our shoes, boots, sandals, leather soled
to protect us from the dirt we perceive as of no worth.

And then and when I have no feet, I will then remember
how long the spring of mother earth lay coiled and waiting, ready,
to shoot me heavenward from the base of my mistakes
to barefoot walk again on the sands of other lands!

Your heart and soul shines through this.
God love ya, Lady Sunday~

Helen...agreeing with blues here...this is so heart touchingly human, and yet so spirit filled.  Thank you for sharing the lovely person you are with us.

I did post an acknowledgement but I see that it got lost somewhere in cyber space. Thank you all for your kind comments.
