White sand sinking beneath my feet,
Waves crashing to reach the shore.
Sun high above to make it complete,
Unique sensations felt to my core.

Strolling the beach, my toes in the sea,
Hearing the gulls above as they fly.
Searching for seashells beneath my feet,
Watching kites as they dance in the sky.

Out in the ocean, I float by the tide,
And all I can hear are the waves.
Serenity and peace consume me inside,
As the ocean's surf my body braves.

The ocean's beauty is beyond compare,
The scent alone is unforgettable.
Constant breeze with salt in the air,
An escape to paradise, unregrettable.

Serena, this is just sensational. You have captured the ocean and the beach with words that are filled with images.

I live near the ocean and I know that smell so well.

Beautiful piece of work here Serena..
It's so cold and dark today...
this took me there...to that beach and warmth of the sun.
Thank you for this keeper.
Hugs~

You captured the soothing qualities of the ocean so well in your write.
It brought me there, and I understand so well the peace given here.

a beautiful, mysterious poem after my own heart...as to, that is how the sea calls to me....reminding me of just how very small I am, compared to the eyes of life, it wears for a smile...gathering me up, lulling in natures serenity...how deeply toned are the horizons that fall to water's top...
this was dreamy, thank you for writing and sharing
