This beautiful white blanket covers the ground,
All you can hear is the wind’s soothing sound,
The trees are bare,
All I want to do is look up in the sky and stare,
As the snow falls.

I have one wish as I sit here alone,
And that is to have you near,
Whispering sweet nothings in my ear,
As we cuddle and snuggle tight,
Throughout the long wintery night,
As the snow falls.

Life is a gift so live it to the fullest!

Hello Kelly

Oh how I wish I could experience a winter with snow.  Here in Melbourne, Australia we don't have snow in Winter and there's no chance of a white Christmas because our Christmas is in the middle of Summer and is often really hot.  At least I can imagine what it would be like through your words.

Take care......Sue

Hi kelly,
Like Sue, I don't see snow here in florida either....well, maybe once in a while. But even then, it melts really fast.
So, I also will see it through yours and the others eyes.
A good poem.

Hi Kelly, WOW! Ain't this storm a doozy?
Supposed to get about 2 feet in our neck of the woods!

Nice writing ... hugs and hope you can snuggle by a cozy fire ... Marti

Sue - I'm glad you enjoyed the poem... Maybe you can visit the U.S. sometime and enjoy the snow.

Ethel - I'm glad you liked the poem... I've always wanted to live in Flordia, so maybe you and I could switch places and you could come live in MA instead.

Marti - Yes this storm is horrible... almost lost electricity a few times here. We're supposed to get approx. 18-30 inches I think. Anywho, I'm glad you like the poem... I liked yours too.

Thank you everyone
~Kelly~

I love this poem. It has a great message. It needs to snow here!! There is not a white blanket here, nor someone to wisper sweet nothings iether. I agree, life, you must live it. My favorite quote is "A day without laughter, is a day waisted."

Hope the intended reads this, and snuggles with you on a snowy night.
A good write.
