Egg Shells

I sit on
the edge
of darkness
and breathe
with broken breath
how do I
tell my heart
where it
stretched to breaking
I am
sorry once again
which apology
will it be
that it will
no longer
believe me
some things
are far too
tender for
this world
and can not
take the crushing
how many tears
will it take
this time
to fill
each crack
and what
will fill
the hollow inside
and stop
this echo
of loss

Oh Helen, this is such a sad write, but still
beautifully written. You share your feelings so well.
