Early morning misty air
Awakening my senses as I step outside
Lights are off, no human sounds evolve
I stand in the shadows
In that time between dark and light

And then it comes to me...

So sweet, so melodic, so clear
The song of a tiny little bird
Perched high in the leafless tree before me
It sings of new dawn, of new day, new beginnings
It sees me there, but is not afraid

It sings an ancient song...

I am it's only human audience
But it's mate is answering it's calls
Taking turns with beautiful harmony
In another leafless tree
Sharing their joy with me, their joy of the morning

Their beautiful Morning Song...

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart  ~S~
