"Poet is Priest"
The writing of poetry
the most holy sacrament
reverred above heaven
and also below
blessed be

Ink the very breath
of lyrical divine
holy holy holy
only thou are holy
falling to knees
clutcing chest
weeping

I alone am holy
My pen divine
My mouth divine
My spit divine
Father Blake
Fahter wordsworth
forgive me
for I have sinned
descration of the sacred
into propfane blaspehmies
saving me from hellish normality

Holy
The pen
the very mouth
of every god
and so of my muse
my object of worship
paper only blank
potential creation
of immaculate conception

"Poet is Priest"
I am priest
you are priest
lighting mental candles
for the sacred mass
as pen touches paper
ink flows god speak
the poetic litergy begins

"Poet is Priest"
you are my congregation
as I am yours
holiest mass of the mind
orgasmic ephiphanies
let the phallic words
thrust vagina soul
till you are full
spilling over

So full
you must write
spread our faith
to any who will listen
in the cafe
the street corner
the schools
churches
till all understand
for this is our communion
without cheap wine
and stale wafers
breaking off pieces of poetic
Logos in virgin ears
proclaiming
recieve our Gospel
turn off your tv rot
turn on your mind
for
"Poet is Priest"
Muse divine Papacy
writing of poetry our only sacrament
and
poetics the only true religion

Prophetic Monkey 2003

The line "Poet is Priest" is from poem "death to Van Gogh's Ear" Allen Ginsburg
