Inside the shadow's shadow

0 posted 2003-12-05 03:40 PM

Left
To the dusk
And dust
Of a ghost town

Crumbled
In your hands
The person I was
Died
And I altered
Myself
To fit more
To your liking.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

you don't need to change for anyone, you are amazing just the way you are.

KoKo, I believe that I understand where you are coming from with this write. From my own personal experience, I have discovered that when we try to change to conform to someone else's ideals, we are not being true to our own self. Ultimately, we become very unhappy! ~ and it can be quite uncomfortable trying to squeeze our foot into a shoe that doesn't fit!

Loves 'n hugs,
Linda
