Practice What You Teach

I am a teacher and what i do is teach.
I am given the opportunity to stand on
my soap box and preach.

There have been times when i have
pointed my finger at you,
then think to myself...
isn't that what i would do??

I went to college...
so that i may learn it all.
When i stand before you...
I feel 10 feet tall.

Your little eyes look up at me,
praying that only...
the good I will see.

I tell you all to never
lie, cheat or steal.
I tell you to know the difference,
between what is pretend and what is real.

I tell you to do all these things,
after all, it is my job to stand and preach.
Yet, the question i have been asking myself is..
"Shouldn't I Practice What I Teach?"

Well it's for sure you should try, but you are human so if you fall sometimes I (think) it's permitted...all will forgive you I'm sure of it! This was a cute one.
Love,
Terri~
