Blanketed in glistening white crystalline
shimmering expanses brightly glow.
Shivering with chill of Arctic air that brings
animation to the land of snow.

Frosty, can you hear this child that's calling you,
see your way with eyes of coal so dark?
Here, within this moment, might such things come true....
let imagination be your spark.

Wrap your scarf more tightly 'gainst the blustery winds.
Tip your top-hat down and hold on tight.
As your transformation through this storm begins
trip the light fantastic "Frosty White"

Few have ever called you by your Christian name,
fewer still, believe you story's true,
just to see you dance was worth it all the same,
far too swiftly did this storm pass through.

Let the parting clouds be as a curtain drawn,
and the stars bear witness that we've met,
as approaches yet another winters' dawn
this is not one soon I will forget.

Amazing creativity!  Excellent form, too! Great job, through and through.

And, I'd say there is plenty of reason to continue writing...my enjoyment!  Well, and yours, of course.  *Grins*

I enjoyed this.  In the last line, I think I'd rephrase it more like 'This is one I'll not forget'.

From a Florida Cracker Woman who has never seen enough snow at one time to make a snowman - I LOVE IT!!  I could see it all
I collect snowmen, and I am often tempted to keep them out all summer just to make it seem cooler in the house lol.  I could just read this every day from April to November, no?

Dr.Moose,
I'm so glad to read a post of yours again--it seems that you may not have been posting for a while or I just didn't read on the right days!   I loved this!   And especially, I liked the way you may have intended contrast by using the word, spark.  It caused my spark of imagination to begin melting Frosty away until you set me right back on track with the setting.   My, a nice journey you took us, while not leaving the comfort of a warm home!

(big angel hugs) I have always loved the occasional snow here and I always loved Frosty the Snowman and still watch it each year living with the boy in my heart, sweet friend, the ending always made me cry when he melted away like a good friend passed on but I know he will always come back when it snows, yay! God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet William, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

S Arthur Grey,
Sorry for delay I'd actually forgotten I'd posted this. Happy Holidays.
Doc
passing shadows,
Thanks, a few minor mistakes which I may yet try to correct. Joy to you and yours.
Doc
Masked Intruder,
Thank you. There are a couple of things I'd change about this on re-visiting, just minor
corrections. I'm glad you enjoyed. Noel.
Doc
Pilgrimage.
Thanks, and, so right you are. That last line
just didn't flow right. Guess I'llhave to take it to the moderators now though, as my time is up. Merry, Merry!
Doc
ice,
Thanks, we're in the middle of another white-out here, and I think I may just join in the dance this time, instead of just watching. Peace be with you , friend.
Doc
Caroline,
Ahh, Florida! Been there once, the only ice I saw was in my drinks. I'd be glad to send you some though, as of today we've got 8" level snow, after some rain, and we're due for a foot more. Frosty will definately  get to take to the dance floor again. Merry Christmas
Doc
Elizabeth,
Thanks so much. Your descriptive writings have been part of my motivation for years,
and so, hopefully, I learn. Best wishes for you and those close to you.
Doc
Sadelite,
Thank you. I am sorry for the delay in replying. I actually forgot about this post until it popped up in my library. you're right, I have not been posting as often, which I consider as being my loss, be that as it may, best wishes for you and your for the holidays.
Doc
Noah,
What can I say, my friend? If anyone ever embodied the holiday spirit, it is you.
If Santa ever needed a replacement, my vote is yours. Merry Christmas.
Doc
Drew,
Dang Man! Where does the time go to? All the best to you and your also!
Doc
MidniteSun,
Thank you. I truly hope your holidays are filled with joy.
Doc
